Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about TAB Home Services, our processes, warranties, and what to expect.

What is TAB Services?

TAB is a family of service divisions that all work the same way: licensed, process-driven, and no shortcuts. We have four primary divisions: TAB Home Services – general home repair and small projects, TAB Plumbing – licensed plumbing service and repairs, TAB Doors & Gates – doors, hardware, garage doors, and automatic gates, and TAB Facilities – maintenance and project support for schools, centers, churches, clinics, and other facilities. Different services, same standard: 'If we wouldn't do it this way in our own house or building, we won't do it in yours.'

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. TAB operates with licensed tradespeople where required by law (including plumbing, electrical, etc.) and insurance coverage appropriate for residential, commercial, and facility work. If you ever need license or insurance details for your records, just ask—we'll gladly provide them. RMP 44457.

What types of properties do you work on?

We work on owner-occupied homes, rental homes and small portfolios, multi-family and managed properties, schools, childcare centers, churches, clinics, and other facilities. The goal is to give the same quality of work whether we're in a starter home, a high-end property, or a busy center.

How do I request service?

You can submit a request through our website form, call our office at (972) 244-3080 during business hours, or if you're an existing property management or facilities partner, use your established contact channel. On that first contact, we'll ask a few questions so we understand the issue, the property type, and the best way to schedule.

Do you offer free estimates?

For many projects, yes, we can provide a no-cost estimate—especially for clearly defined projects and planned work. For certain diagnostic visits (for example: complicated plumbing issues, recurring drain problems, or gate troubleshooting), there may be a service/diagnostic fee that covers a licensed professional coming out, inspecting, and giving you real answers. If a fee applies, we'll tell you up front, not after the fact.

How do you price your work?

We price jobs based on the scope of work, the materials and parts needed, and the time and skill required to do it correctly and safely. We're usually not the cheapest number on a list, and we're okay with that. Our focus is work that holds up, not work that has to be redone.

Do you offer emergency or same-day service?

We handle many urgent issues (like active leaks, major plumbing failures, critical doors/gates, and facility problems). Availability depends on timing, workload, and property type. When you call, we'll ask questions to understand the urgency and be honest if we can respond same day or if it needs next-available scheduling. We will not promise a '2 a.m. miracle' we can't actually deliver.

Who will come to my property?

A TAB technician or crew member—not a random subcontractor you've never heard of. Our techs are uniformed or clearly identified, they've been screened and vetted, and they're trained to explain what's going on in plain language, not jargon. If you ever feel uncertain about who is at your door, call our office and we'll confirm.

Do you warranty your work?

Yes. We stand behind our workmanship. We warranty our labor for a reasonable period, depending on the task and materials. Many parts and products also carry a manufacturer's warranty. If something we did fails within a normal, fair window—and it wasn't abused or altered—we want the chance to make it right. We'll always be clear and honest about what's covered.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance plans?

For the right properties, yes. We can create recurring maintenance plans for plumbing inspections, doors & gates service, facility maintenance and safety checks, and multi-property portfolios that need a steady system instead of chaos. If you're a property manager or facility director, we can walk your buildings and build a plan that fits your reality and budget.

What is The Workshop?

The Workshop is our resource center. It's where we share practical guides, seasonal checklists, project planning help, and plainspoken explanations from the field. It's not hype or fluff—just the kind of information we'd want if we were in your shoes.
